This 6 hour Childbirth Class will walk you through the process of labour and delivery and prepare you for your amazing birth journey. You will learn about:

• Signs of Preterm Labour
• True and False Labour
• When to go to your place of birth
• Stages of labour including what is happening to your body in each stage of labour
• Comfort measures
• Practice Birthing positions
• Practice Breathing techniques
• Relaxation exercises
• Support person’s roles in childbirth
• Understanding Pain and how to manage pain
• Role of Hormones During Labour
• Birth Preferences/Plan
• What if things don’t go as planned
• Medical interventions – induction, vacuum, forceps, C-section
• What happens to you and baby immediately after birth
• Skin to Skin contact
• Postpartum recovery (Postpartum blues & Depression, bleeding, getting enough rest, etc.)
• When to take the baby to the doctor
